Fortified town
Carcassonne is listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. It is a perfectly preserved medieval fortified town. Once you’ve crossed the ramparts, you’ll discover a setting like on the eve of the second millennium. Fifty two towers and two concentric city walls offer a total of three kilometres of ramparts that protect the castle.
